20TH AUGUST OSLO NORWAY 21 DEGREES

A sunny day which is a lovely change! I head off and catch the on off bus but they do annoy me as they seem to talk about things that I cant find!
I hop off and decide to walk up to the Palace and  wander around the garden which is lovely, wander around till I find the Art Gallery
Here they have a wonderful collection of Picasso Cezanne Van Gogh and Monet plus other wonderful local artists. This is a really great collection of wonderful art work.
They also had about 50 Munch paintings which are divine so I decide I must go to his collection over 1,100 paintings, 3000 drawing s and 18,000 graphic works.
But before I go there I want to see the big ski jump and tower at Holmenkollen.
Here is the home of the World Cup which takes place every year.
Well you watch this on TV but my heart was jumping out when I saw just the half of it . I then had to wait a half an hour in a queue to go to the top.
It is gob smacking, I just cant imagine what it would be like to take your first jump!!
I am so amazed at this gorgeous city, the buildings, shops, cafes filled with people sitting in the sun. How could anyone do what  that wretched man did on July22nd
At Holmenkollen there is a fabulous sking museum . I took a few photos!!
They say they are born with skis on and the photo of a 9 mths  old with the ski suit and skis just about proves that!
I loved this as they had skis from hundreds of years ago, the early clothing of their kings and queens. A big polar bear and also a big moose! Couldn’t get over how big it was!
So onto the Munch exhibition ,just wonderful and how lucky to have all of it in one place. There were a Few people so could just wander and have a fabulous view of them. He bequeathed them to the city.
Now down to the Opera House. This is new and I love its simplicity of lines , you can walk all over the roof very clever and its  all white just divine. Give the Opera house in Sydney a run for its money.
You may see the photo of glass sculpture in the ocean near it well it has just been sold for 26million dollars!
Phew
A lovely walk back to the ship in the sun ,after a gorgeous day in a gorgeous city.
I decided to have dinner up on the deck under the stars!! My favorite table organized!! Mino Captain asked me to join them but I declined as it’s a pain for him to entertain all the time and I was very happy by myself
Saw Manchu and we organized to have a drink tomorrow night as I was too tired tonight!!

21st AUGUST A DAY AT SEA

Spent the day on the computer trying to find a flight to London from Honfleur but nothing so I got onto to a taxis service to take me to the airport in Paris.
