Trying to download from my word doc I very clevely deleted today and tomorrow!
Shit now have to write again so here goes!!!
I took off on a tour firstly to the old part of the city to see where the airmen who escaped from the prison of war camp 100 miles away rested till the Swedes can and took them and they escaped the country.
This was the basis of the film The Great Escape
The builidng is stunning and was a french brothel which the Germans didnt frequent.
e then head off to an air raid shelter which housed 2500 at a time. the city was very badly bombed dring the war
Drving around the city is is very beautiful with parks and gardens and lovely art deco buildings could be in Paris or Germany.
We hear a bout how they live during the communism period queuing up for days or bread and meat, shocking
A vodka tasting in an old communisst club eating bread and dripping and dilled cucumbers was the meal of the time , but the vodka was yummy and I bought a couple of the best which funnily enough is owned by Bruce Willis
I then wandered arund the city walking through the park and having lunch at Club 22 view lovely views eating something a little better that the old days
They are very proud and doing up the city the building all being refurbished. The Germans come here to shop as its much cheaper than in Germany they buy clothes and food still the hange over from the communist period
Back to the ship and I wonder where Im going to have dinner tonight, shit big decision, um think Ill go out side on deck 9 and have grilled something and salad. Dont want to do the dining room thing as Antonio would probably want me to sit with someone
